Rian Brett in Rang a Ceathair is one of our school's top athletes and has represented Scoil Asicus in athletics, cross country and Gaelic Football, but perhaps his favourite sport is swimming
Rian won two gold medals at the Connacht Minor School’s Competition in 2024.
He won gold in the 100 metres Individual Medley (4 different strokes).
He also came first in the 50 metres butterfly.
Rian swims in the Under 12 competition although he is only 10 years old.

Rian swam in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin and won bronze in the 100 metres Individual Medley (4 different strokes).
He also came third in the 50 metres butterfly. These are great feats up against the best swimmers in Ireland.
Rian is looking forward to swimming in the competitions again in the future and is one to watch in the pool.
