Strandhill National School, Sligo

Sport

Here in Strandhill NS, we place a lot of emphasis on sports and keeping our pupils active. From Junior Infants right up to sixth class, pupils are encouraged to participate in a whole range of activities from Gaelic to running to dancing to hurling.

Staff are actively involved in training the children in these activities and when necessary are happy to call on local experts who make their time available to the school. We are currently working towards renewing our Active School Flag which acknowledges the importance that we place on physical activity for all children.
